The fact that we are so lucky is undeniable. We’ve been granted by Allah Azza Wa Jall with a lot of things, that sometimes we didn’t know how to appreciate. We’ve been blessed with life and the joy of faith towards Him. We are given with the comfort of Islam. And we’re entitled to bow to Him, to worship Him, for us to show our greatest gratitude towards Him.
But it is shameful that some of us are tend to forget, and failed to express our gratefulness, to have lack of thankful feelings toward our Creator. We are what we are. We are just His servant and we’ll always be.
My visit to Rumah Solehah in Cheras taught me something that I’ll never forget.
Lesson #1: To be grateful to Allah
It is hard for me to close my eyes and pretend to be blind. I went there with a thousand feelings. And I came back leaving not one of them. There are too young to understand. And they are surely too naïve to carry all the pain and feelings.
The smile that they shown are really nothing compared to the fact that they’re dying. All of us will die. But for them, the limit has been known. The smile on every single one of the children faces almost made me didn’t notice that they’re carrying a deadly virus in their veins. The way they talk and play, never distinct them from normal kids. They’re so innocent.
We’re given with a life to live with. And we are ought to live this life with something valuable and worthy at His sight. To do something that we can get benefits from it. From time to time, we are entitled to show our gratitude to Him. To feel proud and thankful that he blessed us with a good life that others might not even get to taste a bit, to live like us. To feel grateful that we’re living in a healthy condition, while others might be devastated.
Lesson #2: To never forget Allah
It every way or another, we are tend to forget, or to have lack of remembrance towards Him. While He is the one who created us, and put us in this condition. We forget to say Alhamdulillah, and most of the time, we’re even forget that we’re just a piece of dirt that have been brought to life by Allah. We forget to glorify Him. We forget to do this and that. What’s the point of being a servant if we’re tend to forget our master? Allah didn’t need us, now and forever. But we need Him, so badly.
Try not to forget him even for a while. Not to erase His name in our mind and soul. To have fear towards him at every second of our life. To feel ashamed if we are not able to remember Him, while others tried to fear Him, and ask Him to grant them with His bless at every moment.
Lesson #3: Never forget who we are
We are a servant. That’s we are. Allah is great
We are the created one; and we have a Creator. Glory is to Allah.
Lesson #4: Never look down on others
We’re just a piece of dirt. All of us. And He the one who created us with His intention. So never look down on other people. We are equal.
Lesson #5: Erase the stigma
Erase the stigma. They might carry deadly virus. But they are innocent. It is not a sin to love them. And they are too innocent to bare the treacherous feeling inside. Love them and care for them.

The first ‘Kuliah Online’ in IIUM got a little disrupted since the Broadband that I’m using is not functioning well. In fact this has been going on and on for a few days. I wonder why? Got a little bit (yeah, a bit) disturbed since I have to work on GPRS to have a far stable (yet slow, really slow) connection to the internet. *sigh*
The service provided by DimDim is extremely good and handy since the user can follow the meeting arranged live, whether through voice or video. So, the person can enjoy and involved with the meeting.
But it seems that the good service just being corrupted by slow and really unstable connection.
Insya Allah, I’ll try to make it as good as possible for the next session. May Allah grant all of us the patience that we seek, smile that we craved and ease that we wanted.
I went to a seminar namely Interactive Dakwah Training (IDT) in Ampang last week. It is more like the FCR (Friendly Comparative Religion) program, besides the fact that they said that the info has been updated.
It is quite interesting to see the explanation given by the speakers. I’m really in to the exposure on the Hinduisme. Quite fascinating to know the facts of that particular religion which kept me smiling with the way the speaker elaborate the stories.
May Allah grant the organizer His bless and mercy.
I (not solely me, since I’m with my brother Abu Zubair) went to Tarbush after the IDT. Found out that the delicacies that they’re serving are quite good and delicious. :)

Qaddarallahu.
I’ve not been feeling very well since the day I came back from the IDT. :)
So, I’m not functioning very well and at the most excellent condition. Physically and emotionally.
Sorry for any inconveniences.
I lay my head low. Seeking for God’s forgiveness. Putting all of my hope that I will get one. Accompanied by a feeling of fear that I won’t get one. Turning this sense of afraid that I dig inside. I’m a felon, so I just hoping that I’ll get a blissful experience. And I’m hoping that God will never turn away from me and all of us. Abysmal record is the one that I’m hoping to avoid.

We’re having a trip to Sungai Pisang (Banana River?) this morning. And frankly, it is a fantastic event. Located 5 to 6 KM from IIUM, it is a nice spot of waterfall which is great and fascinating. It is about a week ago when Syarief having this thought that we should spend our time together, go somewhere for picnic and such. And he chose Sungai Pisang. I am really excited since me and Abu Zubair are planning to go there for about a month, and we didn’t got a chance.
So, this morning, we met at the front of Admin Building of IIUM. It is about 25 people of us (sorry guys, too many to name), altogether. We depart somewhere around 9 AM, and we stop for breakfast nearby Masjid Zakaria, before going to the Gombak Pump House. It just took us around 10-15 minutes to arrive.
And this is the adventurous part. From that Pump House, it took us around half an hour of trekking along the river to reach Sungai Pisang. It is quite challenging, since there are a lot of vines and stump. And the trekking path is (so) small. Abu Zubair and I are falling behind since we started our trekking a bit late compared to the others (plus, I’m busy taking pictures). So, knowing that we’re lacking behind, we ran (yes, indeed we were running) through the forest. The nicest part is that it is challenging with the vines and dead trees across the path; and all sort of thing, feeling like we’re competing in the Iron Man challenge, jumping here and there. It took us somewhere around 15-20 minutes to reach the waterfall. Masya Allah. It is nice, really. Knowing that there are places that beautiful that still haven’t been flawed by the hands of human being, it is a pleasant view.
We swam, having fun, bashing Masri in the water for more than half an hour. And then we stop to hear taujihaat from Syeikh Aiman ad-Daqqaq. A nice and comforting speech. Syeikh reminded us that we should be thankful to Allah for putting us in the comfort of Islam and Iman, and comfort of following the Sunnah. We should be thankful to Allah because we’re not among the Khawarij, Mu’tazilah, Rafidhah and all other cults that inherited the way of Salaf al-Dhallah. And he reminded us to give our intention to stick on the path of Sunnah, because the essence of the fikrah is to follow (ittiba’) and stick (tamassuk) with the teaching of al-Quran and al-Sunnah, inner and out.
There are a few questions raised after the speech, most of them related to the prayers. Right after the Q&A session, we went for lunch. Our cook/chef/quartermaster of the day, Man (his name is Man, not man in sense of adult human male) prepared a nice food (which I didn’t get to eat). Thank you very much.
We leave the place after 12 PM. This time we took different route. Not as challenging as the first, except when we have to climb that stiff hill. This second route took us to a journey (of course we have to walk) along Karak highway. The journey is shorter, but I like the first very much. We arrived at the Pump House after 20 minutes of journey. After changing our clothes, we leave the place and set apart.
I’m looking forward to go again. Nice journey and relaxing moments with a thousand of good memory to be carved towards the path of life.
